BRUINS 6, ISLANDERS 3: David Krejci scored twice and Brad Marchand and All-Star Tyler Seguin collected a goal and two assists apiece in the third period as visiting Boston moved closer to clinching the Northeast Division title.

Chris Kelly and Patrice Bergeron also tallied and Marty Turco turned aside 19 shots for the Bruins, who improved to 5-1-1 in their last seven games. Boston was unable to secure the title after Ottawa extended its contest into overtime. The Senators went on to post a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia on Saturday.

PA Parenteau tallied twice and Kyle Okposo netted his sixth goal in five contests for the Islanders, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end and fell for the second time in seven matches.

With the game tied at 2-2, Marchand accepted a brilliant feed from Seguin before wristing a shot between the pads of Al Montoya at 3:13 of the third period. The tally was Marchand's 27th - and fourth in seven games.

Seguin provided insurance midway through the third period after his wrist shot floated past Montoya. The tally was Seguin's 27th as well.

Parenteau trimmed the deficit back to one after sliding the puck past Turco with 5:07 left in the third, but Bergeron and Krejci tallied 24 seconds apart to seal the win.
