Carl Hagelin posted his first career two-goal performance and Ryan Callahan scored his team's second shorthanded goal of the night to snap a tie and lead the New York Rangers to a 4-1 road triumph over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

Marian Gaborik netted a power-play goal, defensemen Michael Del Zotto and Steve Eminger each set up a pair of tallies and Martin Biron made 32 saves while adding an assist for New York, which has won four straight road games.

After Hagelin opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal midway through the second period, Thomas Vanek forged a tie 64 seconds later with his 14th of the season.

Callahan responded by winning a battle for the puck in his own zone, skating down the right wing and fighting off Buffalo defenseman Christian Ehrhoff in the faceoff circle before beating Jhonas Enroth for a 2-1 lead.

Callahan's tally gave the Rangers two shorthanded goals in a game for the first time since Jan. 20, 2009.

Hagelin and Gaborik sealed the 2,500th win in franchise history for New York with third-period scores.

Enroth stopped 29 shots for the Sabres, who have lost four of five at home.
