Defenseman Mike Weaver snapped a tie midway through the third period, leading the Florida Panthers to a 4-3 road victory over the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

Mike Santorelli and Rostislav Olesz each recorded a goal and an assist while Keaton Ellerby scored his first career goal for the Panthers, who halted a four-game losing streak.

Tomas Vokoun made 32 saves for Florida, which is 1-1 on its six-game road trip.

With 8:19 to play in the third period, Weaver unleashed a shot - Florida's only one of the session - from the right point. The puck bounced off the back of New York's Artem Anisimov, popping up and over Henrik Lundqvist for Weaver's second goal of the season.

Olesz gave the Panthers the lead with 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the first period before rookie Derek Stepan scored his 14th goal of the season at 2:17 of the second to forge a tie. Ellerby quickly put the Panthers back in front, tallying at 3:03, and Santorelli beat Lundqvist from the doorstep 68 seconds later for a 3-1 advantage.

New York began the third with a purpose, needing just over three minutes to knot the contest. Brandon Prust tipped the puck past Vokoun 74 seconds into the session and Brian Boyle converted a power-play chance at 3:05 for his 18th tally.

Rookie Mats Zuccarello collected three assists and Lundqvist stopped 13 shots for the Rangers, who fell to 6-3-1 in their last 10 at home.
