Tomas Vokoun made 39 saves and the visiting Florida Panthers scored four goals in the second period en route to a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday night.

Mike Santorelli scored twice and Marty Reasoner and Stephen Weiss also tallied for Florida (8-9-0).

Santorelli tied the game at 1-1 just 2:27 into the second period. After Reasoner scored to give Florida a 2-1 lead, Santorelli notched his sixth goal of the season at 6:25 into the session.

Weiss capped the scoring with his fifth of the season midway through the second.

Dwayne Roloson made 27 saves for the Islanders, who lost for the 12th straight time.

New York (4-12-3) took a 1-0 lead on Matt Moulson’s eighth goal of the season just 13:07 into the first period.

The Islanders, who fired their coach Scott Gordon on Monday, haven’t won a game since Oct. 21 when they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in overtime. They haven’t scored more than two goals in a game in their last 10 outings.
