Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves to earn his second shutout of the season and Brandon Dubinsky scored twice to lead the visiting New York Rangers to a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.

Lundqvist improved to 6-4-1 on the season even though the Devils outshot the Rangers in all three periods. It was the second time in three games that New Jersey has been shut out.

Dubinsky opened the scoring by slapping in his ninth of the season and fourth in three games at 7:35 into the first period. The Alaska native scored his second of the night in the third period while the Rangers were shorthanded when he picked up a loose puck and beat Johan Hedberg with a sharp-angle shot.

Artem Anisimov had two assists for New York and Brian Boyle scored the Rangers’ other goal. Boyle picked up his fifth of the season with 36 seconds left in the second period by deflecting defenseman Dan Girardi's point shot past Hedberg.

Martin Brodeur was scheduled to start in goal for New Jersey, but the veteran gave way to Hedberg after experiencing soreness in his right elbow in the morning skate. Hedberg finished with 17 saves.
