Six different Atlanta players scored goals to lead the Thrashers to a 6-4 win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

Dustin Byfuglien and Eric Boulton scored third-period goals as Atlanta built a 5-2 lead and hung on for the win.

Atlanta also got goals from Evander Kane, Niclas Bergfors and Bryan Little. It was Kane’s sixth goal of the season. Andrew Ladd added an empty netter to close out the scoring.

New York got a goal from Ryan Callahan in the first period and Sean Avery in the second. Todd White then scored his first of the season in the third period and Brian Boyle netted his third as New York closed the deficit to 5-4 but the Rangers (4-3-1) couldn’t get the equalizer.

Atlanta (4-4-1) activated goalie Ondrej Pavelec on Monday but he did not play. Pavelec has not played since collapsing on the ice in the season opener. Chris Mason started in net and made 24 saves.

Martin Biron made his second start of the season for the Rangers and made 20 saves. The Rangers had their three-game winning streak snapped.
