Max Pacioretty scored twice, including the deciding goal with 5:08 to play, and Marc-Andre Fleury recorded 23 saves as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the visiting Dallas Stars 4-1 on Tuesday to snap a three-game losing streak.

Pacioretty's second goal came as he swept behind the net and lifted the puck off the stick of Dallas goaltender Ben Bishop, then tried to center the puck. Instead, his pass deflected off the Stars' Tyler Seguin and trickled across the goal line before Bishop could swipe it away.

Vegas earned just its fourth win in the past 14 games (4-9-1), while Dallas fell to 3-6-1 in its past 10 outings. Bishop stopped 44 shots for the Stars.

Dallas got on the board at the 11:13 mark of the first period. Roope Hintz worked just outside the crease and in heavy traffic to corral a loose puck before whipping it past Fleury on the power play to give the Stars a 1-0 lead. Jason Spezza and Alexander Radulov were awarded assists on the score.

Vegas tied the score when Pacioretty ripped a wrist shot over Bishop and off the right post for a power-play goal with 8:12 to play in the second period. Nate Schmidt and Paul Stastny garnered the assists on the tying tally.

After the Golden Knights took a 2-1 lead, Schmidt added an insurance goal with 2:02 remaining as Bishop was on his way to the bench to try to give Dallas a late man-advantage. Brayden McNabb whipped home another empty-net tally 61 seconds later to make a game that was very close for 55 minutes look like a blowout.

Dallas played without its captain, Jamie Benn, who sustained an upper-body injury in the Stars' win at Chicago on Sunday.

Winger Mark Stone made his debut with the Golden Knights a day after he was acquired in a trade with Ottawa. Stone played on Vegas' second line with Pacioretty and Stastny, and he finished with six shots on goal.
