Sabres 5, Senators 4 (SO): Brian Flynn forged a tie late in the third period and Matt Moulson scored the lone goal of the shootout as Buffalo extended its home winning streak to six games.

Moulson - who also tallied in regulation - opened the bonus format by beating Robin Lehner to the stick side after deking to his backhand, and Jhonas Enroth denied Ottawa's first two chances before Bobby Ryan hit the right post to end the contest. Flynn and Marcus Foligno each recorded a goal and an assist, defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen also tallied and Enroth made 29 saves as the Sabres completed a sweep of their four-game homestand.

Alex Chiasson scored a goal and set up another while Ryan, Mark Stone and Curtis Lazar added a tally apiece for the Senators, who have won only three of their last 12 contests. Lehner stopped 29 shots in defeat.

Ryan gave Ottawa the lead 7:24 into the contest before Ristolainen began a spurt of three goals in 3:21 for Buffalo by firing the puck inside the right post from the right faceoff circle during a power play at 4:11 of the second period. Moulson tapped in a backhander in the crease at the seven-minute mark after his redirection of a point shot hit the post and Foligno converted a cross-slot pass from Flynn 32 seconds later for a 3-1 lead.

Stone began the Senators' comeback with 6:18 left in the session, beating Enroth from the left circle, and Lazar forged a tie 2:02 into the third by jamming in a loose puck in the crease for his first NHL goal. Chiasson put Ottawa ahead 3:02 later, when his backhander from the bottom of the left circle slid underneath Enroth, but Flynn buried a rebound from the left side of the crease with 3:29 remaining to knot it at 4-4.
