Blue Jackets 4, Blues 2: Boone Jenner snapped a tie late in the second period and Columbus went on to extend its franchise-record road winning streak to eight games.

William Karlsson opened the scoring, defenseman Jack Johnson converted a power-play chance and Cam Atkinson reached the 20-goal plateau for the second straight season as the Blue Jackets posted their fifth straight victory overall and ninth in 10 contests. Jenner and Atkinson each added an assist while Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves as Columbus set a club mark with its 22nd road triumph of the campaign.

Patrik Berglund scored a goal and set up another while Vladimir Tarasenko also tallied for the Blues, who fell three points behind first-place Nashville in the Central Division. Brian Elliott turned aside 13 shots as St. Louis dropped four points off the pace in the race for the Presidents' Trophy.

Karlsson beat Elliott with a wrist shot at 7:06 of the first period for his first goal in three games with Columbus after being acquired from Anaheim at the trade deadline. Berglund forged a tie 52 seconds into the middle session, converting a cross-slot pass from the left faceoff circle by Jaden Schwartz during a 2-on-none rush to end his 12-game drought.

Johnson beat Elliott with a blast from the blue line at 11:39 to put the Blue Jackets ahead, but Tarasenko fired the puck past a screened Bobrovsky from the left circle during a power play three minutes later. Jenner gave Columbus the lead for good with 21 seconds left in the period, converting a pass from Ryan Johansen while alone on the right side of the crease, and Atkinson sealed the win with an empty-netter late in the third.
