Blue Jackets 4, Oilers 3 (SO): Rookie Alexander Wennberg scored in the third round as visiting Columbus recorded a shootout victory over Edmonton for the second time in six days.

Blue Jackets rookie Marko Dano nearly tallied in the waning moments of regulation as his backhanded bid banked off the left post. Columbus' Ryan Johansen and the Oilers' Jordan Eberle each scored in the second round before Wennberg - who netted the winner in the Blue Jackets' 5-4 victory over Edmonton on Friday - backhanded a shot past Ben Scrivens (17 saves) and under the crossbar for the decisive tally.

Johansen, Mark Letestu and defenseman David Savard each scored for Columbus, which snapped a six-game skid in Edmonton and improved to 6-17-2 at Rexall Place. Scott Hartnell had an assist to extend his point streak to five games and Curtis McElhinney finished with a career-high 44 saves to record his first victory in seven games since a 2-1 triumph over Pittsburgh on Feb. 19.

Nail Yakupov collected a goal and an assist to increase his point streak to five games and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his career-high 20th goal for the Oilers, who fell to 1-5-3 in their last nine contests. Derek Roy scored his third goal in four contests and Eberle had an assist to extend his point streak to six games.

After Columbus claimed a 2-0 lead, Roy one-timed Benoit Pouliot's centering feed at the 11-minute mark of the second period and Nugent-Hopkins scored from the doorstep to forge a tie 1:28 into the third. Defenseman Oscar Klefbom's shot caromed off the end boards and right to Yakupov, who made no mistake from the right circle to give Edmonton a 3-2 lead at 9:15 before Letestu answered 54 seconds later with a blast from above the left circle.
