Blue Jackets 3, Bruins 1: Matt Calvert scored the go-ahead goal with 3:03 remaining in the third period before adding an empty-net tally as visiting Columbus snapped its four-game losing streak.

All-Star Ryan Johansen converted on the power play to extend his franchise-best point streak to 13 games for the Blue Jackets, who finished 2-0-1 versus the Bruins this season. Johansen added an assist and Curtis McElhinney finished with 34 saves in his first start since Jan. 4.

Carl Soderberg scored and Tuukka Rask turned aside 28 shots for the Bruins, who saw their five-game winning streak come to a halt. Loui Eriksson and Chris Kelly each notched an assist on Soderberg's 10th goal of the season.

Brandon Dubinsky carried the puck into the offensive zone and wired a centering feed to Cam Atkinson, who wristed a shot from the inner edge of the left faceoff circle that caromed off Rask's right pad. Calvert alertly backhanded the loose puck home from the right doorstep to give Columbus a 2-1 lead and sealed the win with an empty-netter with 38 seconds remaining.

Johansen kept his hot hand going by unleashing a sharp wrist shot from the upper edge of the left circle that beat Rask 7:57 into the contest to open the scoring. Boston answered less than four minutes later as Kelly wired a pass from along the right-wing boards that Soderberg swept home from the left doorstep.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Johansen has scored eight goals and set up eight others during his point streak and recorded two tallies and four assists against the Bruins this season. ...
