Miikka Salomaki netted a goal in his NHL debut for the Predators, who have won the first three contests of their five-game season series against the Stars. Pekka Rinne made 18 saves en route to his league-leading 27th victory.

Jason Spezza and defenseman Trevor Daley tallied for Dallas, which is winless in three games. Lehtonen stopped 21 shots.

Spezza tied the game with a sharp-angle shot 12:51 into the second period, but Salomaki put Nashville back in front by knocking home his own rebound on a breakaway 3:56 later. Daley knotted the contest with 1.6 seconds remaining in the session.
