Ducks 4, Predators 3 (SO): Ryan Kesler scored the decisive goal in the third round of the shootout as Anaheim rallied to defeat visiting Nashville.

Defenseman Francois Beauchemin tied the game late in regulation while Corey Perry and Matt Beleskey also tallied as the Ducks improved to 3-1-0 on their eight-game homestand. Jakob Silfverberg also scored in the shootout and Frederik Andersen turned aside 27 shots for the victory.

Blue-liners Seth Jones and Mattias Ekholm scored while Craig Smith added a tally in regulation and another in the third round of the shootout before Kesler’s winner. Mike Ribeiro collected three assists, defenseman Ryan Ellis added a pair and Carter Hutton made 30 saves in his fifth start of the season (0-3-2).

Kesler caused a turnover and Beleskey hammered a shot over Hutton’s left shoulder 12:15 into the game, but Ekholm’s blast from the left point squirted past Andersen 1:38 into the second to tie it. Perry responded 74 seconds later, redirecting Rene Bourque’s shot past Hutton for his 15th goal.

Jones’ shot from the top of the slot deflected off two Anaheim sticks for a power-play goal at 13:50 of the second before Smith chipped in a rebound during a man advantage 3:24 later. The Ducks had a 14-3 edge in shots during the third period and Beauchemin knocked in a loose puck with 2:17 left to send the game to overtime.
