Max Pacioretty scored on the power play and Tomas Plekanec added an empty-net tally as the Canadiens won for the eighth time in nine games. Defenseman P.K. Subban collected three assists and Price, appearing in his 400th game, turned aside 22 shots to win his fourth start in a row.

Bournival was credited with the opening goal 6 1/2 minutes into the second period, when his centering feed went off the skate of Devils defenseman Jon Merrill and into the net. Pacioretty doubled the lead in the final minute of the session, ripping a shot off Kinkaid's glove from the right faceoff circle.

Cammalleri knocked in his own rebound with 5:49 left to cut the deficit to a goal, but Plekanec iced it with 27 seconds remaining.
