Blackhawks 4, Flyers 0: Patrick Kane scored two power-play goals and Antti Raanta turned aside all 32 shots he faced in his season debut as host Chicago breezed past Philadelphia.

Bryan Bickell and Brandon Saad each collected a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks, who scored three times in a 2:06 span midway through the first period. Former Flyer Patrick Sharp set up both of Kane's goals as Chicago went 2-for-4 with the man advantage after scoring on just one of its previous 12 opportunities.

The Blackhawks peppered the Flyers from the start, tallying three times in the first to highlight their 19-shot period. Saad opened the scoring at 11:54 by poking home a loose puck, Kane tallied 32 seconds later after swatting home a shot off the end boards and Saad fed Bickell for his first of the season with exactly six minutes remaining to put Philadelphia on its heels.

Kane capped the scoring 3:50 into the third, as he spotted a loose puck in the crease and tapped it past Steve Mason from the right doorstep for his third tally of the season and 19th career two-goal performance. Raanta, who preserved his second career shutout by stopping 13 shots in the third, was making the start as Corey Crawford remains day-to-day with an upper body injury.

Mason finished with 39 saves to fall to 0-7-1 in his last nine career appearances versus the Blackhawks. Flyers captain Claude Giroux registered five shots on goal, but saw his four-game point streak come to an end.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago RW Kris Versteeg had four shots on goal in 16:48 of ice time while making his season debut after suffering a lower-body injury. ... Philadelphia D Braydon Coburn was a late scratch and missed his fifth straight game due to a lower-body injury. ... The Blackhawks recalled G Scott Darling from Rockford of the American Hockey League to serve as Raanta's backup.
