Canucks 2, Oilers 0: Radim Vrbata and Daniel Sedin each recorded a goal and an assist while Ryan Miller stopped 28 shots as visiting Vancouver extended its season-opening winning streak to three games.

Captain Henrik Sedin set up both tallies for the Canucks, who have begun a campaign with three straight victories for the first time since 1999-2000. Miller posted his 30th career shutout while improving to 9-0-0 lifetime against Edmonton, including a 5-4 shootout triumph at home on Saturday.

Ben Scrivens also finished with 28 saves for the Oilers, who fell to 0-4-1 on the season. The setback kicked off Edmonton's seven-game homestand that concludes Nov. 1, also against Vancouver.

Neither team was able to break through in a first period that saw Vancouver outshoot Edmonton by a 12-10 margin. The shots were even more frequent in the middle session, with the Canucks finally snapping the scoreless tie.

Following a turnover, Henrik Sedin sent the puck behind the net to brother Daniel, who came out on the right side and made a cross-crease pass to a wide-open Vrbata for an easy tally with 4:11 remaining in the period. Daniel Sedin sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final minute of the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Edmonton has been outscored 15-5 in its last three games. ... Vrbata has scored a goal in each of his three contests with the Canucks, with two being game-winners. The veteran Czech netted only two game-winning tallies in 80 contests with the then-Phoenix Coyotes last season. ... Miller has matched his shutout total of his last two campaigns combined.
