Oilers 4, Flames 2: David Perron snapped a tie midway through the third as visiting Edmonton rallied for four unanswered goals in the period to halt its five-game losing streak.

Boyd Gordon recorded a goal and an assist while Jordan Eberle and Ales Hemsky also scored for the Oilers, who have won five of their last seven meetings with Calgary. Devan Dubnyk made 33 saves as Edmonton posted just its second victory in 12 overall contests (2-9-1).

Rookie Sean Monahan and defenseman Dennis Wideman tallied and Reto Berra turned aside 20 shots for the Flames, whose winless streak reached six games (0-5-1).

After battling back from a two-goal deficit to knot the contest, Edmonton moved ahead at 10:23 of the third as Perron banked a shot from below the end line on the right side off Berra's left shoulder and into the net. Gordon was credited with his second goal of the night when Lee Stempniak swept the puck into his own empty net with 48 seconds remaining.

The Flames got on the board at 12:23 of the first period, when Monahan took a return pass from Jiri Hudler and beat Dubnyk from the left faceoff circle for his eighth goal. Wideman doubled the lead with 2:52 remaining in the second as he moved in from the point and drilled a loose puck past Dubnyk from the top of the right circle.

Eberle began Edmonton's comeback at 3:41 of the third, accepting a pass from Taylor Hall and firing a shot under the crossbar from the high slot. Hemsky forged a tie 4:37 later as he batted a puck out of the air and into the net while standing at the left post after Sam Gagner's shot from the right point was deflected.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Eberle has registered 14 of his 16 points this season on the road. ... Flames D Ladislav Smid saw 16:36 of ice time against his former team, registering two shots and four hits while blocking a shot. Smid was acquired from Edmonton on Nov. 8. ... Calgary is 1-6-1 this month, scoring three goals or fewer in each contest.
