Sabres 3, Lightning 1: Tyler Ennis snapped an 11-game goal drought with a power-play tally and Jhonas Enroth made 32 saves to win for the second time in as many days as Buffalo held off visiting Tampa Bay.

Jochen Hecht and Kevin Porter also scored for the Sabres, who pulled within four points of the eighth-place New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference. Enroth earned his fourth victory after leading Buffalo to a 1-0 triumph over Philadelphia on Saturday.

Benoit Pouliot recorded a goal for the Lightning, who dropped to 1-4-1 in their last six. Mathieu Garon made 19 saves for Tampa Bay, making his first start since April 2.

Ennis went to the net to knock home a no-look pass from Thomas Vanek 4:09 into the contest and 13 seconds into a power play. Hecht doubled the advantage by whipping a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle eight minutes into the second period after a Lightning turnover.

Porter extended the lead to 3-0 at 12:37 of the second session, going to the net to redirect a pass by Brian Flynn past Garon. Pouliot answered 53 seconds later by deflecting defenseman Eric Brewer's shot.
