Chris Kunitz and defenseman Kris Letang each recorded a goal and two assists as the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from an early two-goal deficit to defeat the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 on Sunday.

Kunitz split three defenders and scored 56 seconds into the second period to tie the game 2-2. Letang gave the Penguins the lead for good at 4:28 and NHL points-leader Evgeni Malkin notched his second goal of the game at 10:54 for the 4-2 advantage.

James Neal added three assists, while goaltender Brent Johnson made 21 saves and had an assist to win his first game since Dec. 3 for the Penguins.

Steve Downie gave the Lightning a 2-0 lead by scoring twice in an 11-second span midway through the first period, setting new franchise record. Jason Wiemer had the previous mark, netting a pair in 16 seconds against the New Jersey Devils in 1997.

Teddy Purcell assisted on both goals by Downie, who has three in two games and 11 for the season. Mathieu Garon made 37 saves for the Lightning.

Malkin had a power-play goal with 3:45 left in the first period to give him at least a goal in eight straight home games. The Penguins are 6 for 16 on the power play the last five games.
