Rookie defenseman Slava Voynov collected his first NHL points with two goals and an assist and Jonathan Quick turned aside 30 shots as the Los Angeles Kings skated to a 5-3 road triumph over the Dallas Stars on Thursday in a battle of Pacific Division rivals.

Captain Dustin Brown had a goal and two assists and Justin Williams and Scott Parse also scored for Los Angeles, which defeated Dallas for the second time in five days and handed the Stars their first loss at American Airlines Center this season. The Kings posted a 1-0 triumph over the division-leading Stars on Saturday.

After Michael Ryder and Eric Nystrom tallied in just over a four-minute span to level the contest at 3-3, Voynov blasted a shot from the point which beat a screened Kari Lehtonen with 6:52 remaining.

Quick, who saw his shutout streak come to an end after 202 minutes, 11 seconds after defenseman Trevor Daley scored, kept the Stars at bay to preserve the victory.

Voynov, who is playing in place of the injured Drew Doughty, gave Los Angeles a 3-1 advantage after wiring a shot past Lehtonen for his first NHL goal with 4:39 remaining in the second period.

Lehtonen finished with 24 saves to suffer his first loss in eight starts this season.
