Steelers 30, Browns 27: Shaun Suisham kicked a 41-yard field goal as time expired and host Pittsburgh prevailed despite blowing a 24-point halftime lead.

Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for 365 yards and a touchdown on 23-of-34, moved the Steelers (1-0) into position for the winning kick with completions of 11 and 20 yards to Markus Wheaton in the final 47 seconds to improve to 18-1 lifetime against Cleveland (0-1). Le'Veon Bell accounted for 197 total yards and ran for a touchdown while Antonio Brown had five catches for 116 yards in a score as Pittsburgh beat the Browns for the 11th straight time at home.

Brian Hoyer overcame a miserable first half and finished 19-of-31 for 230 yards and a touchdown while leading Cleveland on four straight scoring possessions in the second half to rally from a 27-3 halftime deficit. Undrafted free agent Isaiah Crowell ran for a pair of touchdowns and rookie Terrance West rushed for 100 yards on 16 carries.

Pittsburgh appeared to deliver an early knockout punch by scoring three touchdowns in a span of just over eight minutes to zip to a 27-3 lead at the half. LeGarrette Blount's 7-yard TD run capped an 80-yard drive in the final minute of the opening quarter before Roethlisberger connected with Brown on a 35-yard scoring strike and Bell weaved 38 yards to the end zone midway through the second quarter.

The Browns, who were shredded for 364 yards in the first 30 minutes, came storming back in the third quarter with two touchdowns in the first six minutes on runs of 3 and 15 yards by Crowell before tying it at 27-27 on Hoyer's 9-yard TD pass to Travis Benjamin with 11:15 to play. After the teams traded punts, Pittsburgh got the ball at its own 43-yard line and Roethlisberger needed only four plays to set up Suisham's third field goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Browns TE Jordan Cameron, the team's leading returning receiver following the one-year suspension to WR Josh Gordon, was sidelined in the second half with a shoulder injury and starting RB Ben Tate did not return after spraining his knee in the second quarter. ... Steelers WR Brown, who registered his 17th consecutive game with at least five catches and 50 yards, was whistled for unnecessary roughness midway through the second quarter when he attempted to hurdle Browns P Spencer Lanning and buried his cleats in his facemask in a karate-kick motion. ... Pittsburgh's 364 yards of total offense in the first half was its highest total in the opening 30 minutes since a 378-yard output versus Kansas City in 2006.
