Seahawks 14, Rams 9: Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes to Golden Tate and visiting Seattle stopped St. Louis twice at the 1-yard line on the final two plays of the game to notch its third straight win.

Wilson overcame a dismal offensive performance by hooking up with Tate for an 80-yard scoring strike late in the third quarter as the Seahawks (7-1) prevailed despite mustering only 135 yards of offense. Wilson was sacked seven times and Marshawn Lynch was limited to a season-low 23 yards but Seattle managed to maintain a one-game lead over San Francisco atop the NFC West.

Rookie Zac Stacy rushed for 134 yards on 26 carries, Greg Zuerlein kicked three field goals and backup Kellen Clemens threw for 158 yards and two interceptions for the Rams (3-5) in his first start since the 2011 regular-season finale. Clemens guided St. Louis 96 yards to Seattle's 1-yard line on the final possession but Stacy was stuffed at the line of scrimmage before Clemens threw incomplete on fourth down as time expired.

The Rams dominated play in the opening half, limiting the Seahawks to 38 yards of total offense and sacking Wilson four times, but found themselves staring at a 7-3 deficit. A 38-yard interception return by Richard Sherman gave the Seahawks the ball at St. Louis' 26-yard line and Wilson needed six plays to cash in, hitting Tate from 2 yards out with 5:37 left in the half.

Zuerlein's second field goal, a 28-yarder, cut the deficit to 7-6 with 4:01 left in the third but Wilson hooked up with Tate on the 80-yard strike 16 seconds later - a play that nearly tripled Seattle's total yardage from 42 to 122. Zuerlein booted a 27-yarder to make it 14-9 with 12:51 left but barely missed from 50 yards with 8:28 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: WR Sidney Rice exited the game in the second quarter with a knee injury for Seattle, which is the only team in the league to force at least two turnovers in all eight games. ... Rams DEs Robert Quinn and Chris Long each had three sacks. It was the third three-sack game of Quinn's career, giving him 10 for the season, while Long's three sacks surpassed his season total of 2.5. ... Wilson's 80-yard scoring pass was the longest of his career and the seven sacks were also a career high.
