Dolphins 24, Seahawks 21: Dan Carpenter kicked a 43-yard field goal as time expired to help host Miami overcome both Seattle and an inexplicable sprinkler malfunction.

Reggie Bush had a highlight-reel run for a 21-yard touchdown and fellow backfield mate Daniel Thomas added a 3-yard score for the Dolphins (5-6), who snapped a three-game losing skid.

After Charles Clay reeled in a 29-yard touchdown from rookie Ryan Tannehill to tie the game at 21-21, the Dolphins thwarted the Seahawks on the ensuing drive. Tannehill drove Miami down the field after connecting with Davone Bess on a pair of passes before Carpenter split the uprights to end the contest.

Rookie Russell Wilson threw a pair of touchdown passes and Leon Washington recorded his eighth career kickoff return for a score for the Seahawks (6-5), who fell to 1-5 away from the Pacific Northwest.

Tannehill, who finished 18-of-26 for 253 yards, moved past Hall of Famer Dan Marino by breaking the Dolphins' rookie passing record. Tannehill has 2,373 yards this season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The game was delayed during the third quarter as the lawn sprinklers came on in between plays. The interruption brought a rise out of the crowd, which had little to cheer prior to that point. ... Bush faced his former Southern California coach in Pete Carroll, who now guides the Seahawks. He gave him a show by capping an eight-play drive after running off tackle and using a couple of spin moves before finding the end zone. ... Miami has won 10 of the 14 meetings against Seattle. ... Wilson entered the contest with just four touchdowns in five road games.
