Redskins 31, Eagles 6: Robert Griffin III threw for a season-best four touchdowns as host Washington spoiled fellow rookie quarterback Nick Foles' first start and sent reeling Philadelphia to its sixth consecutive loss.

Griffin completed 14-of-15 passes to set a record for rookie completion percentage (93 percent) as the Redskins (4-6) snapped an eight-game losing skid to first-year quarterbacks.

Running back LeSean McCoy was carted off the field following a helmet-to-helmet hit on the final drive for the last-place Eagles (3-7).

Foles didn't get out of the blocks well as his second pass of the contest was tipped into the hands of veteran cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Griffin made him pay two plays later as he found fullback Darrel Young for a 6-yard score.

Aldrick Robinson took advantage of blown coverage to reel in a 49-yard score early in the second quarter. Santana Moss gave Washington a 24-6 lead with 5:02 left in the third after splitting a pair of defenders before finishing off a 61-yard touchdown.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Griffin was just the second Redskins quarterback in seven seasons to throw at least four touchdowns in a game. Rex Grossman was the other in 2010. ... Foles finished 21-for-46 for 204 yards. ... Washington safety Brandon Meriweather made his season debut and reeled in Foles' second interception. He exited the contest with a sprained right knee in the third quarter.
