Cardinals 20, Seahawks 16: Kevin Kolb came off the bench and directed a game-winning 80-yard drive to lead the Cardinals over the Seahawks in an NFC West matchup at Glendale, Ariz.

Replacing the injured John Skelton, Kolb completed 6 of 8 passes on the drive, capped by a 6-yard scoring pass to Andre Roberts with 4:59 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Seahawks and rookie quarterback Russell Wilson had a chance to win the game on their final possession. Wilson drove Seattle to the Arizona 4-yard line in the final minute but his final three passes of the game fell incomplete.

Skelton completed 14 of 28 passes for 149 yards and an interception before being carted off the field in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.

The teams traded short field goals for the only scoring in the first quarter. Steven Hauschka gave the Seahawks a 3-0 lead with a 27-yarder, while Jay Feely tied the score with a 21-yard field goal.

LaRod Stephens-Howling capped a 58-yard drive with a 1-yard run to give the Cardinals a 10-3 lead midway through the second quarter.

Wilson had little success in a sloppy first half, completing six passes for 59 yards while spending most of his time trying to elude the Arizona pass rush. He finished 18-of-34 for 153 yards with one touchdown and one interception, which came on a Hail Mary attempt on the final play of the second quarter.

Wilson's second turnover, a fumble in the third quarter, set up Feely's second field goal of the game - a 31-yarder that gave the Cardinals a 13-3 lead.

The Seahawks came right back as Wilson connected with oft-injured Sidney Rice on a 10-yard touchdown pass. The touchdown was set up by an 82-yard kickoff return by Leon Washington.

Hauschka then tied the game at 13-13 with a 47-yard field goal following a Skelton interception midway through the third quarter.

Washington's 52-yard punt return set up Hauschka's third field goal of the game, a 39-yarder, to give the Seahawks a 16-13 lead with nine minutes left to play.

Game notebook: Wilson was one of five rookies starting at quarterback in the NFL in Week 1. Wilson completed 63.5 percent of his throws during the preseason and finished with five touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 150 yards and a score. ... Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch finished with 21 carries for 85 yards. Lynch didn't practice for the past two weeks due to back spasms. He scored touchdowns in 11 straight games last season. ... Seattle wide receiver Golden Tate was inactive with a knee injury. ... The two teams split a pair of games last year.
