Michael Vick tossed a pair of touchdown passes as the Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a 20-7 road triumph over the Dallas Cowboys, who lost quarterback Tony Romo to a hand injury and opted to rest some of their starters on Saturday.

On the team's first series, Romo suffered a contusion on his throwing hand after he hit the helmet of Philadelphia defensive end Jason Babin. In the wake of the New York Giants' 29-14 win over the Jets earlier in the day, the Cowboys exercised caution with Romo - and others - by holding them out for the remainder of the contest.

The NFC East title will be on the line New Year's Day when Dallas (8-7) pays a visit to MetLife Stadium to face the Giants (8-7). New York won the first meeting with a 37-34 triumph over the Cowboys on Dec. 11.

Vick completed 18 of 32 passes for 293 yards with scoring strikes to tight end Brent Celek and Jeremy Maclin for Philadelphia (7-8), which was officially eliminated from postseason consideration with the Giants' victory earlier in the day.

Vick tossed a 13-yard touchdown to Celek over the middle to give the Eagles the lead just 3:30 into the first quarter. The touchdown was Celek's second in as many weeks.

Jason Avant nearly doubled the advantage, but the wideout lost the ball before diving over the pylon in the second. The play resulted in a touchback.

The Eagles rebounded from the lost opportunity as Maclin held on for a 5-yard touchdown with five seconds remaining in the first half.

Stephen McGee, who replaced Romo after the first series, completed 24 of 38 passes for 182 yards. McGee found Miles Austin on a 4-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds remaining in the game.
