Dwight Lowery intercepted Matt Hasselbeck's pass to thwart the final drive as the Jacksonville Jaguars held on for a 16-14 home win over the Tennesee Titans in an AFC South matchup Sunday.

The Jaguars' revamped defense was impressive, holding the Titans under 300 total yards. Jacksonville limited Chris Johnson to 24 yards on nine carries, well below his career average of 105.3 in six games against Jacksonville.

Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew had 97 yards on 24 carries and scored the team's only touchdown on a 21-yard run in the first quarter.

Making his first start for the Titans, Hasselbeck threw a pair of touchdown passes to Kenny Britt. The veteran quarterback led the Titans to their own 46 before his final interception with 16 seconds left.

In his first NFL start since 2007, Luke McCown completed 17 of 24 passes for 175 yards.

The loss spoiled the head coaching debut of Tennessee's Mike Munchak, who became the 12th Hall of Fame player to serve as an NFL head coach since 1970.
