Kyle Orton threw for three touchdowns and 210 yards in the first half as the Denver Broncos snapped a four-game losing streak with a 49-29 victory over the visiting Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the 100th regular season meeting between the teams.

Orton finished 22 of 36 for 294 yards and four touchdowns.

Tim Tebow threw a 3-yard touchdown to Spencer Larsen on his first NFL pass and also had a 1-yard TD run for the Broncos (3-6).

The Broncos scored the first 35 points and led 35-10 at the half.

Matt Cassel finished 33 of 53 for 469 yards and four touchdowns for the Chiefs (5-4), who fell into a first-place tie with the Oakland Raiders in the AFC West.

Brandon Lloyd caught two touchdown passes while Jabar Gaffney and Knowshon Moreno caught one apiece for the Broncos, who had lost 12 of their previous 16 games, including a 59-14 setback to the Oakland Raiders on Oct. 24.

Moreno also had a season-high 106 yards rushing.

Jason Hunter had a 75-yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown in the second quarter. Mario Haggan’s third sack of Cassel forced the fumble.

Dwayne Bowe had 13 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs, who lead the series 54-46.
