David Garrard threw three touchdown passes - including a pair to tight end Marcedes Lewis - and the Jacksonville Jaguars' defense clamped down in the second half in a 36-26 victory over the winless Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Buffalo won the turnover battle, but once again failed to win the game and fell to 0-5 this season.

The game was tied at 13-13 at the half, but the Jaguars took advantage of a big special teams play to grab the lead.

Rookie Deji Karim returned the second-half kickoff 51 yards to give the Jaguars the ball at the Buffalo 39. It took Jacksonville three plays to punch it in as Garrard capped the short drive with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Lewis.

Buffalo tied the game at 20-20 after converting a Garrard fumble near midfield into a 5-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Steve Johnson.

Garrard responded with his third touchdown pass of the game, a 7-yarder to Mike Sims-Walker to put Jacksonville up for good.

Josh Scobee kicked three field goals in the fourth quarter for the Jaguars (3-2).

Buffalo jumped out to an early lead, scoring on its first possession after a fumble and then turned a Garrard interception on Jacksonville's ensuing possession into a field goal by Ryan Lindell for a 10-0 lead.
