Jay Feely scored on a 5-yard run and kicked five field goals as the host Arizona Cardinals snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 43-13 victory over the mistake-prone Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Feely’s touchdown came on a fake field goal with 4:09 left in the first half and gave Arizona a 13-3 lead. His field goals were from 55, 49, 48, 36 and 23 yards.

Tim Hightower had touchdown runs of 35 and 8 yards in the fourth quarter and finished with 148 yards rushing as the Cardinals (4-9) kept their NFC West title hopes alive.

Arizona rookie quarterback John Skelton was 15 of 37 for 146 yards in his first NFL start.

Knowshon Moreno had a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and 113 total yards for Denver (3-10), which had six turnovers. Kyle Orton was 19 of 41 for 166 yards and three interceptions.

The Broncos have lost four straight and 18 of their last 23 games. They were playing their first game under interim coach Eric Studesville after Josh McDaniels was fired Monday.

Denver lost to the Cardinals franchise for the first time. It had won seven straight since a 17-17 tie in the first meeting in 1973.
