Joe Burrow passed for three touchdowns in his final home game as No. 2 LSU routed visiting Texas A&M 50-7 in the regular-season finale for both teams Saturday night.

Burrow, the presumed Heisman Trophy winner, broke the SEC single-season record for passing yards on a third-quarter completion to running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Burrow passed for 352 yards as he surpassed former Kentucky quarterback Tim Couch's record of 4,278. He also tied the SEC record for touchdown passes in a season (44) set by Missouri's Drew Lock.

The Tigers went 8-0 in the SEC and completed the second 12-0 regular season in school history, matching the 2011 team. They will face No. 4 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game next Saturday in Atlanta.

LSU avenged a controversial 74-72 seven-overtime loss to the Aggies (7-5, 4-4) last season.

Texas A&M became the first team to face three foes that were ranked No. 1 at the time they played them in the same season, having lost previously to Clemson (24-10) and Alabama (47-28).

The Tigers out-gained the Aggies 553-169.

LSU led 31-0 at halftime after allowing just 40 yards in the first half, and Cade York's 50-yard field goal added to the lead midway through the third quarter.

Isaiah Spiller's 1-yard touchdown run gave Texas A&M its points, but Burrow answered with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Marr Chase to give the Tigers a 41-7 lead after three quarters.

Myles Brennan replaced Burrow in the fourth quarter and threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Racey McMath. The Tigers defense, which made three interceptions, added a late safety.

Burrow went right to work on the first possession of the game, driving the Tigers to Edwards-Helaire's 5-yard touchdown run.

Then the Tigers found the end zone through the air as Burrow threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson and a 78-yard touchdown pass to Chase for a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Tyrion Davis-Price ran four yards for a touchdown and York added a 51-yard field goal as LSU extended its lead to 31-0 at halftime.
