Senior running back Qadree Ollison rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns, and senior running back Darrin Hall added 186 yards and a score as Pittsburgh used its dominating rushing attack to earn bowl eligibility with a 52-22 Atlantic Coast Conference victory over visiting Virginia Tech.

Ollison added the exclamation point to the victory when he broke free on a 97-yard TD run with 4:43 to play. It was the longest rush from scrimmage in Pitt history.

Junior quarterback Ryan Willis threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns for the Hokies (4-5, 3-3). Willis also led the Hokies in rushing with 65 yards on the ground, including a 39-yard scamper.

Hall had his own long-distance TD when he gave Pitt a commanding 38-15 lead with 4:04 remaining in the third quarter on a 73-yard touchdown run. The Panthers (6-4, 5-1 ACC) finished the day with six rushing touchdowns and 492 yards on the ground.

Ollison and Hall rushed for their 421 yards on just 23 carries, a whopping 18.3 yards per rush in the Panthers' final home game of the season.

The Panthers won their third consecutive ACC game to remain on top of the Costal Division. Pitt needs to win either at Wake Forest next week or at Miami on Nov. 24 to earn a spot in the ACC championship game.

Virginia Tech lost its third consecutive ACC game and saw its two-game win streak against Pitt come to an end. Junior wide receiver Eric Kumah had six catches for 80 yards and two TDs for Virginia Tech.

Pittsburgh sophomore quarterback Kenny Pickett had an efficient day, completing seven of his 11 pass attempts for 162 yards and a touchdown. He connected with junior wide receiver Maurice Ffrench on a 73-yard TD in the second quarter as Pitt took a 17-0 lead.

Pitt had rushing touchdowns of 8, 12, 1, 73, 31 and 97 yards. Ffrench and George Aston also had rushing TDs for the Panthers.
