Running back Isaiah McKenzie scored two touchdowns in the second half, including on a 53-yard go-ahead punt return in the fourth quarter, leading Georgia past Auburn 20-13 Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn used a 7-yard touchdown run by running back Kerryon Johnson, a Daniel Carlson 42-yard field goal and an early goal-line stand to take a 10-3 lead at halftime.

McKenzie tied the score late in the third quarter with a 4-yard sweep, then blew through the Auburn punt coverage team for his fourth return for touchdown of his career with 9:28 to play.

The Bulldogs (7-3, 5-3 SEC) recovered a fumble at the Auburn 19-yard line on the Tigers' ensuing possession and extended the lead to 20-10 on Marshall Morgan's 38-yard field goal with six minutes to play.

Trailing 20-10, Auburn (5-5, 2-5) drove inside the Georgia 10-yard line, but lost another fumble at the Bulldogs' goal line.

Carlson connected on his school-record 14th straight field goal minutes later to cut the Georgia lead to 20-13 with 1:14 to play, but the Bulldogs recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock.

The Tigers, who were picked to win the SEC in the preseason by the media, are in last place in the SEC West.

In a defensive battle, neither team's quarterback could establish any rhythm. Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson started and led the Tigers' up-tempo offensive attack the entire first half. Backup Sean White saw some time in the second half, but was ineffective.

Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert completed 12 of 17 passes for 97 yards.

Known as the "Deep South's Oldest Rivalry," Georgia leads the all-time series 56-55-8.
