Mississippi 31, Southeast Missouri State 13: Bo Wallace threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns in less than a half of work as the Rebels ran out to a big lead and cruised to an easy victory over the visiting Redhawks.

Mississippi (2-0) scored all of its points in the first half, then got the reserves a lot of work against its FCS opponent. The Rebels outgained the Redhawks 532-252, including a 272-93 disparity on the ground.

Scott Lathrop went 16-of-24 for 159 yards and two touchdowns for Southeast Missouri State (0-2), but much of his production came after the game had already been decided.

The Rebels jumped out to a 17-0 lead after one quarter on an Andrew Ritter 37-yard field goal, Barry Brunetti's 4-yard touchdown run and Wallace's 64-yard strike to Evan Engram.

Wallace kept things rolling in the second quarter with a 67-yard touchdown pass to Donte Moncrief, which was followed up by I'Tavius Mather's 10-yard scoring run midway through the second quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Three different players completed passes for Mississippi, which took Wallace out of the game in the first half because of the score, not an injury. … Brunetti led the Rebels with 111 yards on 18 carries. … Mississippi hits the road for three straight games, starting with a date against Texas next Saturday.
