No. 11 Florida State 51, Boston College 7: EJ Manuel threw for a career-high 439 yards and four touchdowns as the Seminoles bounced back from a devastating loss with an easy victory over the visiting Eagles.

Florida State's national title hopes took a tremendous hit with its 17-16 setback at North Carolina State last week, but it didn't appear to faze the Seminoles (6-1, 3-1 ACC) as they came out flying with touchdowns on four of their first five drives. FSU outgained Boston College 649-225 in total yardage, including 295 passing yards in the first half.

Sophomore running back James Wilder Jr. caught his first two career touchdown passes and Lonnie Pryor added a pair rushing touchdowns for Florida State, which defeated the Eagles (1-5, 0-3) for the third straight time. Freshman Kelvin Benjamin also recorded a touchdown catch.

Boston College quarterback Chase Rettig, who entered the game averaging 306.2 passing yards, was 15-of-31 for 122 yards. Andre Williams rushed for 104 yards and Bobby Swigert made five catches for 61 yards, including an 18-yard TD grab late in the second quarter to make it 28-7.

Manuel threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Shaw to open the scoring and his last TD throw was a 12-yarder to Wilder with 13:06 left to stretch the lead to 48-7. Florida State's Rodney Smith had nine receptions for 108 yards to extend his streak to 32 games with a catch.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Seminoles K Dustin Hopkins became the all-time scoring leader in the ACC and at Florida State with a 51-yard field goal as time expired to give the Seminoles a 31-7 halftime lead. Hopkins has 401 points, topping Maryland's Nick Novak's record of 393 set in 2004. ... Florida State finished with 30 first downs compared to Boston College's 18, although the Eagles had a 14-13 advantage in the first half. ... Boston College allowed 595 yards in their 34-31 loss to Army last week.
