Iowa State 37, Western Illinois 3: Steele Jantz threw for three touchdowns as the host Cyclones cruised past the Leathernecks.

Jantz hit Chris Young for touchdown passes of 16 yards and 5 yards in the first half, helping Iowa State (3-0) build a 21-0 advantage at the break. Jantz finished 19-for-26 passing for 209 yards as the Cyclones finished with 504 yards of total offense.

James White rushed for 72 yards on just five carries for Iowa State, 56 of which came on a touchdown less than two minutes into the game. Jantz found Aaron Horne for a 22-yard touchdown early in the third quarter.

Western Illinois (2-1) scored on a 26-yard field goal by Pat Smith with 14:09 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Young finished with seven receptions for 86 yards as Jantz and Jared Barnett completed passes to nine different receivers.
