John Hubert had a game-high 120 rushing yards and the go-ahead score — a 26-yard touchdown with 3:29 left — as No. 15 Kansas State reached the 10-win mark for the first time since 2003 with a 30-23 victory over Iowa State on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The Wildcats (10-2, 7-2 Big 12), who can finish in a three-way tie for first in the Big 12 Conference if No. 11 Oklahoma defeats fifth-ranked Oklahoma State tonight, must now wait to see which bowl they’ll be attending.

Alamo Bowl representatives were in attendance for the game, but there is still an outside chance that Kansas State can sneak into the BCS picture and possibly receive an invite to the Fiesta Bowl.

As for the Cyclones (6-6, 4-5 Big 12), who lost their second straight to close the season, they could be headed to a handful of different bowls, and possibly the Military Bowl.

After Iowa State tied the score at 23 with 6:12 left on Zach Guyer’s 43-yard field goal, the Wildcats responded with a five-play, 66-yard drive that ended with Hubert’s touchdown. Hubert, a sophomore running back, took a handoff left side and broke toward the pylon for the score.

Iowa State, led by Jared Barnett’s 149 passing yards, moved into Kansas State territory on its final possession, but turned the ball over on a 4th-and-2 play from the 31-yard line with 1:02 left.

The Wildcats, who led 17-13 at the half, won their eighth game by seven points or less and finished with 355 total yards on a cold, rainy day.
