Freshman Teddy Bridgewater threw for 241 yards and a career-best three touchdowns as Louisville came back from deficits twice to defeat host South Florida 34-24 on Friday, clinching at least a share of the Big East title.

Bridgewater, who completed a pass to 10 different receivers, connected with DeVante Parker for two scores including an 11-yarder that gave Louisville (7-5, 5-2 Big East) the lead for good 27-24 with 9:38 remaining. The Cardinals have won five of their last six.

Running back Demetris Murray threw a 37-yard halfback pass to Deonte Welch for a touchdown, giving USF (5-6, 1-5) a 24-20 lead late in the third quarter.

Louisville, which won for the first time in five tries at Raymond James Stadium, fell behind 17-3 in the second quarter.

Backup quarterback Bobby Eveld, replacing injured starter B.J. Daniels, connected with Lindsey Lamar for a 35-yard touchdown on fourth down. Murray added a 1-yard touchdown dive for South Florida with 35 seconds left in the half.

The Cardinals closed that gap to 17-10 before halftime. Senorise Perry, who recovered a fumbled punt earlier, ran the kickoff back 54 yards. Bridgewater hit Parker for a 17-yard touchdown on the second play with 13 seconds left.
