Collin Klein had five rushing touchdowns, including the game-winner in the fourth overtime, and No. 22 Kansas State rallied from a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit for a dramatic 53-50 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday in Manhattan, Kan.

In the longest game in history for both schools, the Wildcats (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) overcame a 31-21 fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime.

A big pass-interference call in the end zone gave Kansas State a first-and-goal from the 2-yard line to set up the winning score, a 1-yard sneak up the middle by Klein.

Facing a fourth-and-1 from the 3-yard-line on the first possession of the fourth overtime, Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman elected to kick the 20-yard field goal for the 50-47 lead. But that proved to not be enough for the Aggies (5-5, 3-4 Big 12), who blew their fourth double-digit second-half lead of the season.

Klein’s five scores gave him a school-record 24 this season for the Wildcats, who reached the eight-win mark for the first time since their Big 12 Championship season in 2003.

The loss, Texas A&M’s third straight after starting the season 5-2, ensures that the Aggies will have to wait another week to secure bowl eligibility. Texas A&M has two home games remaining against Kansas and Texas.

Cyrus Gray had 221 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Aggies, who lost their third straight to the Wildcats for the first time in school history.

Trailing 31-21 with less than seven minutes, things looked bleak for the Wildcats. But Klein found Chris Harper for a 53-yard scoring strike to cut the lead to 31-28, and then Anthony Cantele booted a 44-yard field goal to tie the game with 2:12 remaining to force overtime.
