Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes and Nick Toon had a career-high 155 receiving yards and two scores as No. 7 Wisconsin rolled to a 59-10 victory over visiting South Dakota on Saturday.

Wisconsin (4-0), which will open Big Ten play next week against No. 9 Nebraska, outscored its non-conference opponents 194-34 and scored at least 35 points in each game.

Behind Wilson, who completed 19-of-25 passes for 345 yards, the Badgers took a 31-3 halftime lead, scoring on three straight possessions in the second quarter to close out the first half.

Montee Ball had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Badgers, who are 4-0 for the third straight season and extended their non-conference home winning streak to 23 games.

South Dakota (2-2), which fell to 0-2 against the Badgers, was shut down offensively. The Coyotes’ only touchdown came on a 4-yard pass from Josh Vander Maten to Michael Neilson with 6:44 left in the fourth to make it 52-10.

South Dakota’s 10 points was its lowest total since scoring seven in a 38-7 loss to Central Florida in its 2010 season opener.

Wisconsin, which had five rushing touchdowns, outgained South Dakota 613-173.

Toon is the son of former Wisconsin standout Al Toon, who went on to become a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with the New York Jets.
