Rishard Matthews caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt for a score, and a late interception by Khalid Wooten sealed No. 15 Nevada’s 20-13 victory over Boston College in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on Sunday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

Matthews finished with seven receptions for 86 yards, including a game-tying 27-yard touchdown reception from Colin Kaepernick with 3:40 to go in the first quarter. Just 1:13 later, Matthews gave the Wolf Pack (13-1) a 14-7 lead with a 72-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Anthony Martinez kicked a 32-yard field goal with 5:48 left before halftime, giving Nevada a 17-7 halftime lead. Boston College (7-6) cut the lead to 17-10 on Nate Freese’s 22-yard field goal with 11:08 remaining in the third quarter. Martinez’s 27-yarder with 1:17 left in the quarter made it 20-10 Nevada.

Freese brought the Eagles within 20-13 with a 32-yard field goal with 3:52 remaining. The Eagles reached midfield on their final drive, but Wooten intercepted Boston College quarterback Chase Rettig with 2:07 left.

The Eagles struck first on Andre Williams’ 30-yard touchdown run with 8:30 left in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead.
