Miami stayed alive in the ACC Coastal Division race with an impressive 35-10 win at Georgia Tech on Saturday.

With the win, the Hurricanes (7-3, 5-2 ACC) set up a huge showdown against division-leader Virginia Tech next week.

Miami freshman quarterback Stephen Morris started in place of the injured Jacory Harris and passed for 230 yards and a touchdown. Leonard Hankerson had three catches for 132 yards, highlighted by 79-yard touchdown reception that put the Hurricanes up 21-10 early in the third quarter.

The Yellow Jackets (5-5, 3-4) would get no closer and dropped their third straight game. Georgia Tech backup quarterback Tevin Washington rushed for 122 yards and threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Cone.

Damien Barry, Mike James and Graig Cooper each added touchdown runs for the Hurricanes, who ran for 278 yards and 507 yards of total offense.
