Andy Dalton threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead No. 4 Texas Christian to a 48-6 victory over UNLV in the Mountain West Conference on Saturday night.


The Horned Frogs (9-0, 5-0 Mountain West) will meet No. 7 Utah (8-0, 5-0) in Salt Lake City next week. The winner will remain in national championship contention.


Jeremy Kerley had a 5-yard run in the first quarter, and a 24-yard touchdown catch from Dalton in the fourth quarter. Dalton, who finished 16-of-23 for 252 yards, also had a 54-yard touchdown pass to Josh Boyce in the third quarter.

Dalton's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:05 left in the first half made it 28-6.


Ed Wesley had a 1-yard touchdown run, and Colin Jones had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown for TCU, which outgained UNLV 532-197.

Backup quarterback Casey Pachall scored his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter, an 8-yard run.

Omar Clayton threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Michael Johnson in the second quarter for UNLV (1-7, 1-3). It was the second touchdown TCU allowed in a Mountain West game this season.

The Horned Frogs have allowed a nation-low 8.7 points per game.
