Maryland turned in its most complete game of the year, dominating Wake Forest in a 62-14 home win Saturday.

The Terrapins (6-2, 3-1 ACC) kept pace with Florida State and North Carolina State in the ACC's Atlantic Division. All three teams have one conference loss, and the Terps play both in November.

Maryland got four touchdown passes from Danny O’Brien, two interception returns for touchdowns and two blocked punts that led to scores. Sitting on a 10-7 lead, Maryland took control of the game with 17 second-quarter points as O’Brien threw touchdown passes to Quintin McCree and Haroon Brown. The Terrapins’ defense held Wake Forest to minus-5 yards on 12 rushing attempts in the first half.

In the second half, it was more of the same. Kenny Tate and Ryan Donohue scored on interception returns, O’Brien threw his final touchdown to LaQuan Williams and Davin Meggett scored on a 14-yard run. It was 55-7 after three quarters.

Maryland rushed for 263 yards, led by Meggett with 94 and D.J. Adams with 84. O’Brien was on target, completing 13 of 20 passes for 168 yards.

It was the second time this season that Maryland scored more than 60 points. The Terps beat Morgan State 62-3 in September. The competition for Maryland gets much tougher now. The Terps travel to Miami and Virginia in the next two weeks and close at home against Florida State and North Carolina State.

Wake Forest (2-6, 1-4) play host to Boston College next week.
