Nathan Enderle passed for 380 yards and three touchdowns to help Idaho knock off host Western Michigan 33-13 on Saturday at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.

After Western Michigan closed to 17-13 early in the third quarter, the Vandals (3-2) scored the game's final 16 points. Justin Hernandez recovered a fumble in the end zone early in the fourth quarter to put Idaho comfortably ahead 30-13 with 8:39 to play.

Enderle completed 30 of 49 passes and threw touchdowns of 30, 24 and 4 yards.

Ansel Ponder caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Alex Carder right before halftime to make 17-10 at the break. John Potter's 38-yard field goal cut the deficit to 17-13. But a fourth-down gamble at the Idaho 15 failed later in third quarter, and the Broncos would not threaten again.

Western Michigan (1-3) managed just 184 yards of offense and turned the ball over three times, twice in the decisive fourth quarter.

Idaho opens WAC play next week at Louisiana Tech. Western Michigan returns to MAC play next week at Ball State.
