Freshman running back James White rushed for 146 yards and four touchdowns, and quarterback Scott Tolzien threw three touchdown passes for No. 10 Wisconsin in a 70-3 whipping of Austin Peay Saturday in Madison. The Badgers set a modern day school record with the point total.

White was one of two Wisconsin running backs to break 100 yards. Starter John Clay had 117 yards and a touchdown as the Badgers (4-0) gained 610 yards, 345 on the ground. It was Clay’s 10th straight 100-yard game.

Austin Peay (2-2), an FCS program, managed only 158 yards and punted nine times.

Tolzien completed 15 of 17 passes for 218 yards, with all three of his touchdown passes coming in the Badgers' 35-point second quarter.

The Badgers went up 14-0 in the first quarter on a 7-yard run by Brady Ewing and an 18-yarder by White. In the second, White scored on a 66-yard run, Tolzien completed short touchdown passes to Lance Kendricks, Ewing and Jacob Pederson, and Clay ran it in from the 12.

White scored on 12- and 19-yard runs in the third, and Montee Ball added a 10-yarder to complete the massacre.

The only score for Austin Peay was a 51-yard field goal in the second quarter by Stephen Stansell.
