Alexander Robinson rushed for 71 yards on 15 carries and Jerome Tiller rushed for a score for the Cyclones, who improved to 9-0 under head coach Paul Rhoads when allowing less than 24 points.

Iowa State grabbed the early lead on a pair of field goals from Grant Mahoney before breaking through for the game’s lone offensive touchdown with 1:01 left in the half. Tiller brought the Cyclones inside the 10-yard line with a 15-yard pass before using his legs to get the score, rushing 6-yards up the middle.

The Iowa State defense allowed only 108 yards in the first half - 48 on the ground - and forced a pair of turnovers before the break.

The Cyclones’ secondary was at it again after the break, as Jeremy Reeves intercepted a pass from Zach Davis and ran it back 94 yards to push the lead to 20-0. It was A.J. Klein’s turn later in the third, picking off a pass from Tirrell Rennie and running it back 25 yards for another score.
