Jake Locker threw four touchdown passes, three of them to Jermaine Kearse, to lead Washington over Syracuse 41-20 at Seattle Saturday.

Locker finished 22-of-33 for 289 yards. Kearse caught nine passes for 179 yards.

Syracuse (1-1) took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Quarterback Ryan Nassib opened the scoring on a 29-yard run. Ross Krautman followed with a 28-yard field goal.

But Washington (1-1) answered with 27 straight points. The Huskies held a 13-10 lead at the half.

Erik Folk kicked a pair of field goals to get the Huskies on the board. Locker then hooked up with Kearse on a 5-yard scoring pass with just under five minutes to play before half to give Washington the lead for good.

Chris Polk led the Huskies rushing attack with 111 yards on 21 carries including a 53-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to make it 34-13.

Nassib threw for 202 yards and a touchdown.
