No. 11 Baylor 80, Savannah State 50: Taurean Prince scored 15 points and Cory Jefferson had 13 as the host Bears extended their winning streak to six games.

Baylor (12-1) missed only five shots in the first half and finished the game at 52.9 percent from the floor with 19 assists on 27 field goals. Isaiah Austin and Rico Gathers pitched in with 11 points apiece for the Bears, who begin their Big 12 schedule Tuesday at No. 12 Iowa State.

Joshua Montgomery scored 15 points to pace Savannah State (2-12), which has dropped 10 straight games. The Tigers only shot 33.3 percent and missed 17 of their 23 attempts from behind the arc.

The game was basically decided in the first half, as Baylor shot 75 percent from the field, including a blistering 6-of-7 from 3-point range, to take a 46-30 lead at the break. A 17-4 run by the Bears did the bulk of the damage, with Austin scoring six straight points - including a pair of dunks - in the midst of the burst.

Baylor held Savannah State without a point for the first 5 1/2 minutes of the second half and opened a 20-point lead on Gathers' three-point play with under 10 minutes remaining. Gathers finished with a team-high nine rebounds to help the Bears to a 41-31 advantage on the glass.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Prince was 4-of-4 in the first half and led all scorers with 12 points at the break. ... The Bears were just 10-of-17 from the line in the first half before converting 9-of-11 free throws after the intermission. ... Jefferson also contributed seven rebounds and three blocks.
