Texas A&M 83, Kentucky 71:
Elston Turner scored a career-high 40 points and the visiting Aggies scored 11 straight points late to beat the Wildcats for their first SEC road victory.

Turner, who was 14-of-19 from the field, drained one of his six 3-pointers to bring Texas A&M (12-3, 2-0 SEC) within 62-61 with 5:45 remaining. Fabyon Harris registered eight of his 14 points during the 11-0 run that gave the Aggies a 74-63 advantage with 1:32 left.

Nerlens Noel recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds, seven blocks and six assists for Kentucky (10-5, 1-1), which dropped to 8-2 at home. Archie Goodwin had 17 points, including two straight baskets that gave the Wildcats a 62-58 lead, while Ryan Harrow chipped in with 14.

Turner was 10-of-13 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, for 25 points in the first half as Texas A&M led by as many as nine. Noel had nine points to help Kentucky pull within 36-31 at intermission.

Texas A&M led 40-31 after Kentucky coach John Calipari was given a technical foul and the Wildcats responded with a 12-2 run, including a dunk by Noel, to take the lead with 15:36 remaining. There were seven lead changes after that.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
It was the first meeting since 1978. They have split four games. … It was only the second home loss for Calipari in 61 games at Kentucky. … Navy’s David Robinson has the all-time record for a visiting player at Kentucky’s Rupp Arena with 45 points in 1987.
